A statement fireplace surround in genuine Calacatta Viola marble: a bright white-grey stone with bold plum, burgundy and charcoal veining. Three mitred frames step in toward the fire, giving a clean, tiered Art Deco profile with no shelf.

The first photo shows this exact design installed in a recently completed project; the other photos show it being made in our workshop.

  • 72" W (shown): 72" W × 55.1" H × 7.1" D · fire opening 40.9" W × 39" H
  • 66" W: fire opening approx. 34.9" W
  • 60" W: fire opening approx. 28.9" W
  • 54" W: fire opening approx. 22.9" W
  • Custom sizes available

On the smaller sizes the frame width stays the same (approx. 15.5" each side) and the opening narrows. Height and opening height are adjusted to your firebox and confirmed on your approval drawing.

Send us your firebox opening (width × height), wall width and any drawings through our Request a Quote form or contact us. Our engineer prepares a dimensioned drawing for your approval before we cut.

About the stone

Calacatta Viola is a natural stone. Colour, veining and pattern change from slab to slab, so every surround is unique.

About the photos

All photos are real: the installed surround and the piece in production in our workshop.

Installation & care

Fitted to the wall with stone adhesive and mechanical anchors, like any marble surround. We recommend a local stone installer or contractor. Clean with a soft damp cloth and a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic cleaners such as lemon or vinegar. Seal once a year.
